Stress comes from a resistance to or incongruence with our environment based on our beliefs and perceptions. These stressors, if not addressed or given time and energy for processing, are stored in our body memory via the nervous system and the acupuncture meridian system. Unresolved trauma can cause neurological imbalances and adversely impact our physical and emotional well-being. There are countless conditions that result from historical traumas stored secretly throughout the body, including pain, anxiety, organ dysfunctions, and more.
How We Treat: Neuro-Emotional Technique (NET)
We treat stressors with NET, a methodology that locates and eliminates the stress and tension which stems from the NEC (Neurological Complex of stress and body function). NET is a safe, effective, non-invasive approach to facilitate both mental and physical changes to the body. A recent study in the Journal of Cancer Survivorship showed significant changes in blood chemistry and functional MRI from the application of NET.
NET was established by Dr. Scott Walker and taught to other practitioners in 1988. NET uses the Home Run Formula model as a way of categorizing health into four general areas. “First base” represents emotional/stress-related factors, “second base” represents the effects of toxins on the body, “third base” represents nutritional needs, and “fourth base” represents structural needs. The home run model emphasizes that any problem can include factors of the other bases, and it is necessary to address all factors related to one’s health.
